Physical Facet

Five part-books, i-v. i-iii and v - 210, 212, 164 and 94 pages respectively (MSS. Mus. Sch. e. 443-446, f. 570). Quiring normally in fours. Watermark, Fleur de Lys resembling Heawood 1780. Ruling, six staves to a page and red marginal ruling. Lowe paginated i-iii. iv - xi + 200 pages. Quiring normally in fours. Watermark, Bend and Lily, initials RC or RG, resembling Heawood 150. Ruling, six staves to a page and red marginal ruling. Paginated by Lowe. Binding: i-iv, rough calf with blind fillets and ornaments, blind tooling on edges of the boards with paper labels in Lowe's hand; v, vellum on boards with the title 'Tenor Violin' in ink on the front written by R. Goodson II.
