Correspondence with Cornelis Wilhelm (Dick) de Kiewiet, Macmillan's student, historian of South African and university administrator in the USA, mostly personal and regarding South Africa. Also includes draft introduction by De Kiewiet for Cape Colour Question by W.M. Macmillan, reprints of articles Academic Freedom Today, No Tears from the Humanities, Loneliness in the Beloved Country and The Revolution that Disappeared by De Kiewiet, draft paper on apartheid by De Kiewiet, and obituary for De Kiewiet. 1923-1986
