Copies of legal forms and papers in the matter of Appeals brought before the Delegates of Appeals in the university of Oxford, 1662-1706. The causes tried were :

  1. (fol. 7). Appeal by dr. Michael Roberts agst. Jesus college, Nov. 1662-Apr. 1664, with supplementary small suits, 1664-1666;
  2. (fol. 37). Appeal by John Cole chemist agst. Elizabeth White, Oct. 1705-March 1705/6;
  3. (fol. 47v). Appeal by John Ayliffe, M.A., agst. Francis Nourse, B.C.L., Nov.-Dec. 1706.

About half of the book is blank.

The binding is part of a late 17th cent. lease of lands in the Old Jewry, London, by the university of Oxford to William Markeland, inn-holder of London.

A pencil note on fol. 1 states that the volume is in the hand of Solodell Lichfield, a bedel, cf. fol. 12: it belonged to dr. 'J[ohn] Price, Jes. Coll.', Bodley's Librarian.
