Vocal music, sacred

  1. Messiah [HWV 56], [1898?]. Oboe 1 and 2 part, probably copied from the Foundling parts in 1898.
  2. Messiah. He trusted in God [HWV 56/28], 15 Jun 1940. Sketch in full score with a note: 'Copied from the German Handel Society’s Facsimile of the Autograph, p. 135 & seq. T.W. Bourne. 15.VI.40 (aged 78 today)'.
  3. Messiah. But thou didst not leave [HWV 56/32], [1898]. Short score labelled 'Cembalo part': piano accompaniment by T.W. Bourne with amendments in red ink. Also first 5 bars of the Symphony to this Air with a note 'substituted accompaniments (in red ink) by T.W. Bourne': score and 4 string parts. Score of the fragment torn 4/5 along the middle of the leaf. String parts are strips of paper.

  11. Dettingen Te Deum. When Thou tookest upon Thee [HWV 283/7], n.d. Organ part by T.W. Bourne, with pasted in corrections.
  12. Rejoice the Lord is King [HWV 286], with 'Symphony on the original figured bass that concludes Handel's setting of the hymn' [by] T.W. Bourne, n.d.; S.Wesley’s transcript of Handel's manuscript in the Fitzwilliam [Museum]; the concluding Symphony based on Handel’s figured bass of the hymn - composed for orchestra by T.W. Bourne; and 16 cyclostyled copies of instrumental parts with the Symphony at end.

  1. Rodrigo. Nasce il sol [HWV 5/3], n.d. Short score for the soprano solo in Handel's opera, with piano accompaniment by T.W. Bourne.
  2. Ottone. Ben chè mi sia crudele. [HWV 15/31b], Mar 1888. Short score with T.W. Bourne's note in red ink: 'N.B. This Aria is copied from the Smith M.S. in my possession; the notes here written in red ink represent the graces for the voice, which, in the M.S. above mentioned, are added in Handel’s own writing'.
  3. Rodelinda. Io già t’amai [HWV 19/3], n.d. Vocal score for the aria for tenor solo in Handel's opera with piano accompaniment by T.W. Bourne.
  4. Riccardo primo. March [HWV 23], n.d. Cembalo part by T.W. Bourne for the march in Act 3 in Handel's opera.

  3. 'Fugue in E minor, from String trio, op. 51, no. 3 [HWV 398]' arranged for organ by T.W. Bourne, Jun 1946.
  4. 'Sonata for hautboy', n.d. Sonata for oboe with accompaniment for piano by T.W. Bourne. Incomplete (8 bars only).
  5. Suite à deux clavecins, C minor, HWV 446. One draft score (dated 4 Aug 1909), one incomplete score (undated) and one complete score (dated 1910). The missing 2nd clavecin part is here supplied by T.W. Bourne. Also present are 1st clavecin and 2nd clavecin parts.
  6. Adagio from Organ concerto op. 4, no. 4 [HWV 292/3], n.d. First 9 bars of the arrangement by T.W. Bourne.
