Materials for a Life of Wood, collected by John Gutch, registrar of the University of Oxford (d. 1831). They consist of:
- Extracts from Wood's Diaries 1659-95 (fols. 1-64)
- Notes and references contributed by Dr. John Loveday of Caversham to William Huddesford, Keeper of the Ashmolean 1770-71 (fols. 136, 139-42, 145-65), and miscellanea
- At fol. 130 is a letter from 'Dr. B.' (perhaps Dr. Benjamin Buckler) to Huddesford about Antony Hodges, rector of Wytham
- A copy of Dr. South's letter to Cosmo de' Medici in the name of the University, dated Oct. 2, 1675, is at fol. 144
