Comprises:

  1. (fol. 3) 'The History with the fate of Sacrilege ... By Sr Henry Spelman kt... 1632', with a dedication to Charles ii by Stephens, and (at fol. 52) a postscript.
  2. (iv: fol. 77) Original notes and extracts in Spelman's own hand, used in his work on tithes. This is the only part written by Spelman himself, in these three volumes.
  3. (fol. 122) Stephens's Preface to Spelman's Treatise concerning Tithes, 1647.
  4. (v: fol. 136) 'A treatise of the ecclesiastical Lawes & Courts as they have bin continued in England', by Stephens, in eleven chapters.

The paper forms fols. 1-2: the MSS. are copies made by Stephens, unless otherwise described, and are to all appearance occasionally imperfect.
