An order of protection issued to Thomas Barton of Hadlow in Kent, issued by 'T. Fairfax' on June 23, 1648, safeguarding the person, family and property of the former: with a seal. It is endorsed by Barton, and at fol. 4 is a photograph of Fairfax from a miniature, and a letter from W. Twopeny presenting the picture to mr. Hussey, Apr. 24, 1871.
