Letters from Casaubon, mostly copies, but some are drafts by him and the following are originals:

  1. One to King James I (p. 15)
  2. Three to archbp. John Spottiswood (pp. 17, 116, 145)
  3. One to bp. Lancelot Andrewes (p. 126)
  4. One to bp. James Montagu (p. 132) and to dr. Hadrian à Saravia (p. 215), as is also the signed letter from King James I to Casaubon (p. 1)

The letters from Casaubon to David Hoeschel (p. 219) and to L. de Ramirez (p. 271) appear not to be published. Between pp. 238 and 239 are nine leaves of notes on Hebrew words, and at p. 249 are ζητημάτια Arabica addressed to Hadrian [à Saravia].

The volume also contains single letters:

  1. From Constantine Lascaris to Philip Melanchthon in Greek (p.355)
  2. From cardinal Bandinius to dr. Wm. Bishop, bp. of Chalcedon, April 4, 1623 (p. 363)
  3. From John Vossius to Meric Casaubon (original), July 7, 1630 (p. 367)
  4. From Marcus Velser to David Hoeschel (p. 371)

Artt. 1, 2, 4, 6-10, 12, and 15 in the Qu. Catal. are in Casaubon's hand: art. 16 is in French).
