Copies of papers of Count Lorenzo Magalotti, written in the first half of the 18th century
Copies of eight letters from Magalotti, forming fols. 26-37, 58-127, of a larger volume (see MS. Add. C. 3): some are scientific, one (fol. 1) is 'sopra un passo del Concilio Niceno'; two (fols. 72, 74 are to the first Lord Somers, Sept. 27 and Dec. 17, 1709, preceded by a copy of one from Lord Somers to Sir Henry Newton, envoy at Florence, Dec. 9, 1709 (fol. 70).
Notes on fols. 1, 4, and elsewhere in these volumes may be in Magalotti's hand, but some of the statements in the Libri Sale Catalogue need corroboration.
