'In obitum serenissimæ ac potentissæ: principis Elizabethæ, Angliæ ... nuper reginæ, Fidei defensatricis, Oratio funebris.' The dedication to archbp. Whitgift (6 June 1603) is signed 'Iohannes Sonibanck.' In the Registrum Benefactorum the date is given as 1503, which occasioned an error in Macray's Annals of the Bodleian (1st ed. p. 120, 2nd ed. p. 178).

This volume has been missing from the Jones collection for more than a century, but was in reality safe among the Rawlinson MSS., a collection to which it had no right to belong, until Aug. 1891.
