A corrected transcript of the whole of Bodl. MS. Fairfax 8, containing the Liber Pluscardensis, a history of Scotland to A.D. 1436, in Latin, formerly attributed to William Elphinstone, bp. of Aberdeen (d. 1514) but probably by Maurice de Buchanan. A few pages are in Scotch. A few documents occur at the end (from the Fairfax MS.), which are described in F. J. H. Skene's Preface to his edition of the work (Edinb. 1877), p. xiii.
