Nicholson as an undergraduate at Trinity college, Oxford: 'Quaestiones Livianae', stated to be to some extent a précis of lectures given at Trinity college, Oxford, by Mr. R. W. Raper. This volume has also been turned round and filled from the end with notes of lectures on logic given at the same college by the rev. H. G. Woods, afterwards master of the Temple (cp. MS. Eng. misc. e. 68).
