'Historia delle grandi e crudeli persecutioni fatte à tempi nostri in Provenza, Calabria è Piemonta, contra il popolo che chiamano Valdese; e delle gran cose operate del Signore in loro aiuto, è favore, raccolta fedelmente da Scipione Lentolo Napolitano in tempo ch'egli era ministro della parola di Dio nella Valli d'Angrogna, Lucema, Bobio, Peroscia, e san Martino in Piemonte' (p. vii): beg. 'Intorno all anno del Signore 1160' (p. 10), preceded by a 'Sonetto a Christo' in 14 lines, beg. 'Sancto, e pietoso Agnello' (p. viii), and a preface dedicated 'A gl' illustri signori, il signor Giovanni de Guleri, gia governatore di Valtelina, et il signor Hercole de Salgi, gia potesta di Tirano, signori miei sempre osservandissimi' (p. 1).

A note at the end (p. 583), signed and sealed by 'Nicolaus Tschiffeling, dicographus Reipublicae Bern', attests that this copy was made from the authentic MS., and is followed by a memorandum that it was collated with the original in the possession of Cesare Lentolo of Berne, nephew of Scipio, signed by Anthony Stettler and John Rodolph, public notaries.
