A catalogue of Wood's duplicate books is at fol. 44, and two indexes to persons mentioned in the Athena in the course of biographies of other writers, at fols. 56, 70. There is also a sketch by Wood of Ralph Sheldon's Life (fol. 41), and a list in Dugdale's hand of the MSS. bequeathed by Sheldon to the Herald's College in London (fol. 46v).

Falconer Madan, et al., A summary catalogue of western manuscripts in the Bodleian Library at Oxford which have not hitherto been catalogued in the Quarto series (7 vols. in 8 [vol. II in 2 parts], Oxford, 1895-1953; reprinted, with corrections in vols. I and VII, Munich, 1980), vol. II, no. 25226

Custodial History

This volume may well have belonged to bp. Tanner, for there are three letters from him, 1694-1713 (fols. 15, 51, 52), a letter to him from Laurence Echard, Feb. 12, 1718/9 (fol. 53), and a few papers about Tanner's edition of the Athena.

The binding suggests that this volume might at one time have been regarded as part of Rawlinson Letters.
