Letters almost entirely written to Anthony Wood, 1657-95, chiefly on the biography of Oxford writers, some with draughts of the replies. In the following list some entries have been for convenience inserted from MSS. Wood F. 46-51, Ashm. Mus. c. 1, the whole series forming the bulk of the papers on which Wood's Atheme Oxonienses is based. They do not however satisfactorily allow of summary treatment.

The chief writers are:

  1. Barksdale, Clement (7), 1671-85 (fol. 4).
  2. Barlow, bp. Thomas (2), 1685-6 (fol. 19).
  3. Bathurst, dr. Ralph (1), May 9, 1685 (fol. 36).
  4. Beconsawe pedigree (MS. Wood F. 46, fol. 87).
  5. Blount, Thomas (111) 1669-79 (fol. 62: MS Wood F. 49, fol. 179).
  6. Bosseville, Godfrey (26, to Andrew Allam), 1675-80 (fol. 242).
  7. Casaubon, Meric (1), n.d. (fol. 350).
  8. Casaubon, John, son of Meric (1), Feb. 11, 1681 (fol. 352, cf. 355, 358).
  9. Chamberlayne, Edward (1), Feb. 17, 169 (fol. 364).
  10. Charlet, dr. Arthur (2) 1688-91 (MS. Wood F. 51, fol. 20).
  11. Crewe, Arthur (6), 1657-9 (fol 411).
  12. Crompton, William (3), 1691-4 (fol. 429).
