Two copies (MSS. Clarendon 148-149) of 'Clarendon Trust MSS.', a 'catalogue of Lord Chancellor Clarendon's Unpublished Papers, June 1805': MS. Clarendon 149 is the earlier, and is in the hand of the rev. Samuel Smith, chaplain to the House of Commons. It is referred to in an indenture of 20 May 1805, and presumably represents the papers handed over to the University in 1860.
