Extracts from printed books chiefly in the hand of the first earl of Clarendon, 1646-73, almost entirely in English: from Speed, Josephus, Plutarch, Livy, Hugo Grotius, Camden, some Latin bulls 1530-1643, etc. At fol. 8 is a copy of the 3rd section of a work on the 'Elementa Philosophiæ' (17th cent.).
'For mr. Hide' and the latter was one of lord Clarendon's earliest compositions (about 1630-35?).
