MS. Dodsworth 70, 1646, 155 leaves: 1. Fols. 1, 171. Transcripts, chiefly by Dodsworth, of Vipont and Clifford family deeds, 13th-17th centt.:
- With sketches of seals, from originals at Skipton castle, concerning primarily the barony of Westmorland, with, inter alia, the manors of Sowerby-by-Brough, Brampton-above-Troutbeck (Lancaster family), Appleby, and King's Melborne, and also relating to the manor of Tenbury, co. Worcs
- There are also charters relating to Bawtry borough (fol. 2) and Brough grammar school (fol. 4)
- Fols. 57-64 are from a Clifford family chartulary
2. Fol. 65. Copies of monastic charters relating to:
- Byland (property at Warcop in Westmorland), co. Yorks. (fol. 65)
- Wetheral, co. Cumb. (fol. 67v)
- The hospital of St. Saviour, Stidd-under-Longridge, and other properties of the Knights hospitallers in Lancashire (fols. 76, 97)
3. Fol. 112. Extracts from private collections, including:

With the exception of fols. 16, 20-7v, 29v-32v, 41-50, 57-62v, 155-6v, and occasional paragraphs, the volume is in Dodsworth's hand. There is an index of names by Dodsworth at the beginning.

1. Fols. 1, 33. A transcript of charters, relating to Mottisfont abbey in Hampshire and numbered 1-36 with sketches of seals, derived (see Mon. Ang., old ed., ii. 322) 'Ex cod. MS. in Scacc. penes Remem. Regis', but not now known to exist. Fols. 33-40 should follow fol. 8.
2. Fols. 9, 47, 64. Clifford evidences, including:
- Fol. 9. notes from a family chartulary of sir Arnold Savage of Bobbing Court, co. Kent, concerning the families of Northwood (manor of Shorne), and Savage (fol. 11v), also concerning lands in Middleton, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, and Tracy in Newington, from the 13th cent., with a copy of the will of lady Elizabeth Cobham, 19 Hen. vi (fol. 14), and a note from the now missing portion of the charter roll for 50 Hen. iii
- Fol. 47. genealogical notes from transcripts of public records, with pedigrees connecting Clifford with Savage and Bardolf (fols. 49v, 50v)
- 'Notes taken out of coppies of wills in the lady Ascoghes hand' (fol. 50)
