Papers of Johan van Wachtendonck, appointed by the States of Holland to negotiate for the exchange of prisoners etc. in the English and Dutch wars, 1665-74, written chiefly in the second half of the 17th cent.
Comprises 'Genealogia Wachtendonck', notes of the family from the 13th century to A.D. 1699. Among them are:
- (fol. 10) a certified copy of the naturalization of John van Wachtendonck in England, 1663, in English
- (fol. 25) leaves from a heraldic Album amicorum, 1592
- (fol. 42) 'Notatu digna', autobiographical notes of Johan van Wachtendonck, 1632-80, in Dutch.
