Collections made and partly written by dr. Charles Mason for Cambridgeshire. A 'quaternus monachorum Sancti Edmundi' written in the last quarter of the 14th century, and containing:

  1. Fol. 1. 'Carta libertatis ecclesie Elyensis' 1 Feb. 1377/8
  2. Fol. 7v. 'Confirmacio libertatum ciuitatis Norwicensis', 26 Feb. 1377/8
  3. Fol. 10, 'Extracta ex libro vocato Paruo Domesday ... per R. de Huntyng' iiijo Idus Februarias anno regni regis Ricardi secundi viiijo [10 Feb. 1384/5], quod ciuitas Norwicensis est collecta de diuersis parcellis et quod abbas de Sancto Edmundo habent [sic] tenentes et tenementa in eadem ciuitate ... '

  9. Fol. 22 (of the 2nd half of the 13th century) contains some Latin excerpts relating to Ely, and on the verso some monostich Latin hexameters invoking the Virgin Mary, etc.
