A collection of engravings of charters, seals, etc., among which the following manuscript pieces occur, with others:

  1. P. 5. a copy, made in 1735, of an Old English charter of Edward the Confessor, confirming a gift of land from Leofric and Godiva to the abbey of Coventry, with parts of seals: the original was then in the possession of James West
  2. P. 11. a copy, made in 1740, of a Latin ordination of Tewkesbury abbey dated A.D. 1105: the original was then owned by William Brome
  3. P. 21. a copy of a Latin charter of privileges from Richard i to William i king of Scotland, A.D. 1193-4 (5 Rich. i)
  4. Pp. 45, 46. specimens of ornamental writing by Ambrose Serle, 1764, and Jane Weekley, 1775
  5. P. 62. 'Compendium seu generalis grammaticæ Hebraicæ introductio' with the conjugations, on a parchment sheet (17th century)
  6. P. 68. a table to teach to read, write and speak Arabic (18th century)
