Custodial History

Among the many notes of ownership and entries, some erased or half erased, are the following:

  1. 'Presbiter Ofredus & Mancafaxia fratres. Quos de Guiberto peperit patre Florida mater. Hunc fecere librum. Memor esto qui legis ipsum. Vt rex celorum sit gloria quatuor horam' (11th cent.: this is probably sufficient to account for the diversity of hands and signatures in the two parts of this MS.)
  2. 'Ego magister Paulus emi hunc librum de domino Guiscardo episcopo de Suardis Pergamensis [bp. of Bergamo, 1272-80]' (cf. fol. 283v ad fin.)
